Budapest Architecture
As architecture is in the field of art, I decided to include it in my magazine and it moreover, varies a lot from a country to an other which maintains the cultural diversity of my magazine.
Budapest displays its magnificences architectural, since the hills of Buda up to the plain of Pest. It has architecturally noteworthy buildings in a wide range of styles such as : ancient, Gothic, renaissance, ottoman, baroque, classical, neoclassical, romantique and contemporary architecture.
This ample extent of architectural styles in Budapest attracted my interest to captured and to talked about.
I planned to include only one image of this photo-shoot in the layout of the table of content.
Inspiration
The work of had really stimulated me.
The abstract angles and shapes he creates in his architectural photographs particularly fascinate me.
Even by having those source of inspiration in mind, my main aim is more focus on the content and context of the architecture than on the photographs.

Pictures taken by a Canon eos 700d

After I have selected 14 of my favorite pictures, the editing part was quit similar for all of them.

On Photoshop, I erase all disturbing things I noticed, in order for the images look more aesthetic and significant, by using the Stamp Clone, Patch and Healing Brush tools.
By the use of the magnetic lasso and Quick selection tools, I selected some part of the picture to readjust the brightness and contrast.
In order to highlight some patterns of the architecture, I used the Sharpen, Dodge and Burn tools to intensify a fascinating result.
I have cropped several images to have a result emphasizing more on the architecture and a clearer balance of the image.
My weakness on taking picture in a non straight angle picture make it necessary to modify some of my selection by using the Perspective Crop tool.

I used the program Lightroom for the last step, which was to regulate the luminosity, the contrast and the colors on the final result I got from Photoshop.

Experience
The main reason why I went to Budapest was the purpose of a family trip with my parents and my little brother. I then took the opportunity to do my first photo-shoot of the magazine about architecture.
I am used to travel and to never miss to shoot monuments, so I was confident before taking the photos.
However, before going there I reads a lot about the history of the city, and all the different types of architectures : something I am not used to do.
I truly felt like this time was different, I was more concerned about the symmetry of my picture, I was focused on a particular result I wanted to get and I took more time on complementing buildings, thinking if it would suit my plans. This made a difference with what I have experienced in the past.
The challenge here was for me not to take "tourist" pictures of the city but relevant ones for a magazine about art and culture.
