The stages for the ToC's layout are able to be visualized with the images below.

With clear ideas in mind and feedback from some colleagues, modifications have been made on the layout, size and font of the text, as well as, the choice, size, placement of the pictures, to have a satisfied result.

Despite a lot of changes I succeed to have a the result I wished (stated in the planning process): artistic and symmetrical.

The choice of the pictures was easier than I expect. I knew I would use one  of the 4  photo-shoots and how they would be approximately placed. However the selection of each, depended on how they matches regarding the colors, setting and size.

It is noticeable, from the slideshow above, my decision on erasing a picture from the photo-shoot "Misconceiving". Having only 3 pictures on my ToC enabled to varies the symmetry by enlarging the picture on the right page.

The images gives readers a preview of the visual content and may attract them.

The artistic touch is seen with the paint/handwritten font and the frame around the picture.

The symmetric structure of the final product is pointed out by the columns of articles' titles and their alignment with their page numbers, their description and the pictures. This ease the reader to navigate through it fluidly and follows the conventions of an usual table of contents.

The summaries under each titles gave further information about each articles and lets the reader know which are the best pages to read for them.

The page numbers are placed next to each of their correspond articles so the reader can look at the tittle and then easily look at the page number that it is on if they would like to read it. They are in a small size to emphasize the minimalist result and make stand out the three other page numbers that are in a different font and size.

The images are linked with their corresponded articles by the different font and size of their pages numbers and by the sentence making up their frames which correlate to the summaries of their associated article.

On the upper right page, I added the quote which appeared on the cover and the issue number. This enable a correlation with the cover and remain again the reader that it's the first issue of the magazine.

The last detail I add on my table of contents was the masthead of the magazine and the date.

It will appear on every pages of my magazine.
